EFFECT OF THE LATE GALE. - The effects of the late gale appear to have been quite disastrous. It is reported that between 20 and 30 vessels are ashore on Lake Michigan. The schooners J.E. SHAW, ATHENIAN and brig COLUMBIA are ashore at Gros Cap.
