Sault Ste. Marie, Oct. 17. - Whaleback barge 131, upbound, in tow of the steamer CORONA, collided with barge Ed McWilliams, downbound, in tow of the steamer R. STAFFORD, off Sweets Point. The 131 was struck on the starboard side abreast of No. 1 hatch and sustained seven broken frames and three broken plates. Temporary repairs will be made though considerable damage was done. It is not known how badly the McWilliams is damaged.
