      The steamer AUSTRALIA, which was sunk in the St. Clair river in collision with the steamer B. F. JONES on June 15, completed repairs at the Cleveland yard of the American Shipbuilding Co. on Oct. 1. The steamer was out of commision more than three months.

      Accidents and storms on the Great Lakes in 1918 resulted in the loss of 93 lives, of which 76 passed out on Lake Superior. The important marine events follow: -
      June 15 - Steamer AUSTRALIA sank in collision with the steamer B.F. JONES off Port Huron; crew saved and boat afterward raised.
