Dunkirk, October 4.
STEAM BOAT OHIO. - This boat in the gale of Tuesday last, made anchorage at Silver Creek harbor, from whence, unable to hold on, was driven ashore. She however was successful in getting off with but little damage. Wednesday evening she sought for safety this harbor, where she lay until Thursday morning, when she started out for her trip up the lake; after having been out a few hours, it was ascertained that some of her machinery had failed, when she put about and made for this place to undergo repairs.
The schooner MORRIS, when off Van Buren was struck by a sudden squall and capsized. Her deck load being of grave stone and other heavy articles, broke through her bulwarks and sunk; when she righted and made this port in safety.
