The propeller MISSOURI with three barges in tow went ashore during a fog Wednesday at Sleeping Bear, and in close proximity to the CONCORD, reported elsewhare stranded at that place. The steamer and her tow had no cargo.

The propeller CONCORD with the schooner F.J. DUNFORD in tow, both grain laden, went ashore early Wednesday morning during thick weather at Sleeping Bear, Lake Michigan. The coast there is a dangerous one, abounding with quicksands, and the recovery of property very doubtful.

The efforts to rescue the propeller MISSOURI, stranded at Sleeping Bear, are likely to prove unsuccessful. She has been twenty-nine years in service and 588 tons burden and at one period was the fastest propeller on the lakes.

The propellers MISSOURI and CITY OF CONCORD, as also the six barges which went ashore at Sleeping Bear, were got afloat by the steamer CHAMPLAIN after six hours hard work on Friday. The amount of damage is at present unknown.
