Schooner ORPHAN BOY was supposed lost on Lake Michigan in the hard gale of December 17, 1885, but no trace of her had been found. She was discovered January 2, 1886; all hands, probably seven persons, and cargo of lumber, totally lost. Estimated value $12,000.

The owners of the schooner ORPHAN BOY, missing on lake Michigan, have sent a tug out to look for her.

The tug SAUGATUCK has returned from a ten days' search for the schooner ORPHAN BOY, supposed to be somewhere on Lake Michigan. She has been missing since December 4.
