      ALEGHENY AND TRANSFER TOTAL LOSSES.
A dispatch from Escanaba says that the steamer ALLEGHENY, which stranded on Big Summer Island recently, has broken in two and is a total loss. The barge TRANSFER, consort of the ALLEGHENY, which stranded near the ALLEGHENY, will no doubt, also be abandoned, as her value is not sufficient to warrant an attempt at release.
