town yesterday morning, of the loss of the brig INDIANA, Capt. Thom. L. Parker, at New Buffalo, Mich. She is stated to have gone entirely to pieces. Since last June, she has been in the Chicago and Green Bay lumber trade, but had gone across the lake to Michigan City, for a load of wood She was owned by Capt. Parker and Geo. Davis, of this city, and was, we learn fully insured. The INDIANA was one of the oldest brigs in the Western Lakes, she and the ILLINOIS coming out the same season, in 1834, we believe. The brig UNCLE SAM went over from Chicago on the 7th to her assistance, but after 2 ft. of water was pumped from her hold, it was found impracticable to get her off and she was abandoned.
