R. H. Harmon (Schooner), collision, 28 Jul 1857

The Chicago Press of the 3d, says: The brig R.H. HARMON on the 28th ult., while in the Straits, collided with the schr. EXCHANGE, bound for Lake Superior. The HARMON was struck on her larboard bow, which has been badly stove - losing her dead eyes and cutting away the rigging. The EXCHANGE had her head gear and jibboom carried away, and otherwise damaged.
