Mackinaw, May 15 - The stm. RALEIGH with the schr. CAMDEN in tow, ore laden from Escanaba, went ashore on Grey's Reef at 4:00 this morning, during dense smoke and fog. The RALEIGH is out 4 ft., and will have to be lightered. The CAMDEN went on easier, and will probably be pulled off without lightering. Neither of the vessels is thought to be damaged as yet. The FAVORITE has gone to their assistance. The schr. SHELDON was also in tow by escaped and is anchored off here.
Detroit, May 15 - The stm. RALEIGH, ashore on Grey's Reef, is owned by Whipple & Winemann of this city. She is valued at $50,000, and is probably fully insured. Her consort the CAMDEN is owned in Cleveland, and valued at about $20,000.

Cheboygan, May 18 - The RALEIGH left for Detroit tonight in tow of the FAVORITE. Her bottom is in bad shape, and the bed plate of her engine is broken. It is thought the damage to the boat will amount ot at least $10,000.
