The stm. WOCOKEN, coal laden from Buffalo for Chicago, stove a hole in
her bow while working through the ice in the Straits, and had a narrow
escape from sinking. She was held up by 2 steamers, which helped her to
Beaver Harbor. She made temporary repairs and proceeded.
