Oswego Canal Packets. This week we took a trip to Syracuse and back, on board of these convenient and well furnished and well conducted packets - going up with Capt. F. Rood, and coming back with Capt. W.I. Stewart. We have often taken the jaunt, and have travelled much on the canals; but of all canal routs with which we are acquainted, the route between Syracuse and this village is the most delightful; and we have never known a person who has taken this route, after having tried the other, but has given this a decided preference. Those who are acquainted with the kind attentions of Messrs. Rood and Stewart, and the respective attendants on their boats, will deem any encomiums of ours superfluous.
