      Escanaba, May 31 - The tug BROOKS came in last evening with the report that the schr. JOHN MAGEE is ashore on Fisherman's Shoal. She is loaded with coal for Manistique and went aground last evening. The wrecking tug MONARCH has started to assist the stranded boat.
