Very interesting articles. Capt. M.W. Gotham was my Great Grandfather. Would like more info if available.

Thanks, Alan

Cool articles. Capt. M.W. Gotham was my Great Great Grandfather. I'd love to learn more.

Alan Miller (above) is my cousin. My mother, Elaine Miller(maiden name) was daughter of Adelaide Miller (nee Gotham.) Alan's father was William Miller. I owned a boat, Sylvanus Macy II, that fished only on Lake Michigan. Recreational.

Eric, (above) was partially correct. We ARE cousins but my father is Lee A. Miller (Eric's mother's brother, if you can follow that :-)

My mother was Alice Reuter Mooney, daughter of Ava Gotham Reuter, daughter of Myron Wheeler Gotham. The shipwreck and story has been part of our history and of Gotham’s history. We still plant flowers on their graves at Button Cemetery every spring.
