On Sunday the tug KATE MOFFAT, off Presque Isle, Lake Huron, ran foul of a tow of 5 vessels, damaging the schr. MONTCALM, severely and the SASCO slightly. The accident came near sinking the MONTCALM, carrying away her jibboom and headrail, also the timber heads off the SASCO. The MONTCALM went into drydock at Detroit. The SASCO carried on.
