Description
Full Text

The tug C.P. MOREY, Capt. Pappa, left Belleville Saturday A.M. with the canal boats JESSIE PETERSON, W.H. JEMISON and E. J. VICKEY, laden with leached acids. When some 8 miles off Oswego in the night, the VICKEY broke adrift, and the heavy seas opened her hatches and she filled and sunk. After the tug towed the other 2 boats into port she went out and picked up the crew of the VICKEY, who were found floating on the hatches.
