Full Text

A.G. Smith, for the owners, and A.B. Drake, of Buffalo, representing the underwriters, held a survey on the barge CRETE at Erie. The Surveyors have not made a report, but the CRETE is badly damaged and she will probably be a total loss. She is insured for about $25,000.
The CRETE was sunk in collision with the stm. F.B. SQUIRE, in Lake St. Clair. She was down bound with ore and was raised and towed to Erie by the wrecker FAVORITE.
