CAPTAIN AND SEAMAN DROWNED.
Sand Beach, Aug. 23. -- The crew of the schooner WANDERER report that they lost the captain, Alexander Spence, and a seaman named John Body in the heavy gale yesterday. At 5 o'clock this morning, Capt. Spence and Body climbed into the yawl, which was hoisted on the davits, to tie in the reef lashings. The falls broke under the weight of the two men and the yawl fell into the sea, carrying the men with it. The yawl capsized when last seen and it is believed that both men were drowned.
