      The barge STANNARD with lumber from Saginaw to Cleveland in trying to make Fairport harbor on Thursday night, went hard aground and bacame waterlogged. The crew reached safety.

      From Fairport, Nov. 21 - The barge STANNARD went to pieces in the gale last night. The beach is strewn for several miles with fragments of the wreck and the remnants of her cargo. The schr. NEGUANEE dropped by the stm. CHISHOLM about 2 miles off the harbor at 5:00 last evening and is riding out the storm without any apparent damage.
