GALE -- The gale of Thursday and Friday, on Lake Ontario occasioned more damage than we apprehended, the loss of property in the neighborhood of Kingston has been considerable. The steamer BYTOWN was driven on shore and the Captain lost L210 of his own, and L1,000 belonging to the Commercial Bank. A barge loaded with flour sunk. The steamer COM. BARRIE lost one of her paddles, etc. The losses are computed at L4,000 or 5,000. On Friday the steamer COBOURG went aground about 8 miles from Kingston.
