The barge KILDONAN, in tow of the tug EMERSON, is ashore on False Duck Island in Lake Ontario. She has a cargo of coal for Yates Coal Company consigned to F. Robertson, Montreal. The Donnelly Towing & Wrecking Company has started an expedition to her assistance.

The steamer KILDONIAN, which grounded on False Duck Island day before yesterday, was lightered of 150 tons of her coal cargo and released last night. She reloaded and proceeded on her way to Montreal. She was only slightly damaged.
