- Full Text
The crew of the United States Life Saving Station, after battling through ten miles of heavy seas and a blinding snow storm Saturday night, in an attempt to rescue the crew of the barge KELLY, which stranded, near the break wall off Port Colborne, were compelled to return to port. In a second attempt, made yesterday morning, however, they were successful in reaching the stranded barge, but the crew of the ill-fated boat had in the meantime been picked up by a fishing tug.
