The schooner JENNIE GRAHAM of St. Catharines, wheat laden and bound for Malden, struck on Duck Island Shoals, Georgian Bay, about 5 miles from the Island and sunk in 40 feet of water.

St. Catharines - This forenoon [April 21] Capt. J.C. Graham, of this city, owner of the schooner JESSIE GRAHAM, received a telegram from Cheboygan, Mich., stating that the schooner JESSIE GRAHAM had sunk in forty feet of water on Duck Island. The crew were saved and had arrived at Cheboygan. The vessel was bound from Chicago to Midland loaded with grain. The cargo is insured and there is also said to be an insurance of $8,000 on the vessel.
