Description
Full Text

The stmb. N.K. FAIRBANK and consort C.G. KING, coal laden for Chicago, arrived Monday. The former's bulwarks are gone, having been carried away by heavy seas. She is also minus her foreboom, which was carried away in jibing. The KING had several feet of water in her hold, although the crew were at the pumps all day. It is thought she took water through her hatches. The tug COE shipped three heavy seas and narrowly escaped foundering.
