Description
Full Text

A PROPELLER ON FIRE. -- The propeller BRUCE which is lying at Barclay & Carey's dock got on fire on Sunday morning about 4 o'clock, and before the engine could be got to play on her, she suffered to some extent from the flames. The damage done will not probably exceed $500 in value. Her decks are a good deal injured, and it may be that some of her knees are burnt. The wood work around the engine where the fire was the most intense is all destroyed, but the forward part of her hold is untouched. -- Det. Adv., 10th.
