DROWNED. -- The Chicago Tribune of the 9th inst., has the following: "While the schooner MELVINA, of Chicago, R. H. Brown, master, was passing through the Straits of Mackinaw on the 2d inst., a seaman, in hauling aft sheets, about midnight, slipped off the cabin, fell overboard and was drowned. He leaves a wife in Buffalo.
