William Avery (Steamboat), broke machinery, 1 Oct 1833

Description
Full Text

The present would appear to be the season of Steam-Boat accidents. We are informed that the American Boat, Wm. AVERY, whilst at French Creek, on Thursday, broke her Engine in several places. The Engines in this vessel and the BLACK HAWK are formed on a new plan, which, as yet, have not been very successful. They were made, together with that of the United States, by Mr. William Avery, of Syracus. --- Kingston Spectator
