Marine Disasters- The Detroit papers give the following further disasters of the late gale:
"All reports concur in representing the late gales on the Upper Lakes as one of remarkable violence. Accounts of its effects continue to reach us. So far, we are happy to state, that no news has transpired of any disaster attended with loss of life.
The brig PARAGON split her sails and carried away her bulwark, stauncheous and rail. She made a narrow escape from total destruction.
The above disasters were all on Lake Huron.
