Port Notes. -- The schooner GEORGE THURSTON lost her foretop-gallant-mast Monday. She was being towed up the river bed by the tug L.P. SMITH, and the crowded conditions of the stream caused her to strike the barge GEORGE D. RUSSELL, a stay being carried away.
