The towbarge NORTHERN LIGHT, ashore at Harrisville, has been abandoned as a total wreck. It has been found that the hull would no stand lifting, the chains drawing through her in many places. The Port Huron wrecking company will commence operations on the sunken propeller CITY OF St. CATHARINES at once.

The schooners GARIBALDI, NORTHERN LIGHT and COLONEL HATHAWAY are reported as total wrecks at Harrisville. They were lying at the pier and could not get out.
