It is reported that the schooner BOAZ is a total loss at Manistee. The BOAZ was bound from Milwaukee to Burnham's Pier with a $2,000 cargo of back freight, consisting of flour, oats, hay, brick etc., and endeavored to make Manistee Harbor for shelter, but missed the entrance and went ashore south of the piers, where the seas soon used her up. After the gale subsided the vessel was stripped of her outfit and the brick on deck saved. The balance of her cargo will prove a total loss. The vessel and cargo were the property of George Burnham, of this city, and were uninsured.
