- Full Text
The schooner JAMES C. HARRISON, coal laden arrived at Milwaukee Tuesday in tow of the steambarge H. D. COFFINBERRY, leaking badly, at the rate of thirty inches per hour. The COFFENBERRY proceeded to Chicago. Captain Greeley, of the HARRISON, reports that he was caught in a heavy gale off Saginaw Bay, and was so badly shaken up that several seams parted, causing a bad leak. He reports heavy weather on the whole trip, and passed the JOHN KELDERHOUSE and ZACK CHANDLER, minus their jibs. The HARRISON will be docked.
