AUGUSTA DESTROYED BY FIRE.
St. Catharines, Dec. 8. -- The tug AUGUSTA was totally destroyed by fire at Port Dalhousie last evening. She had been laid up for the winter near Muir's Dock. The cause of the fire is unknown, but as some men were working on the tug during the day taking the nachinery apart it is supposed that some light had been left and, fanned by the heavy gale that was blowing at the time, quickly spread to all parts of the tug.
