WILLIAM W. GRANT, schooner of 163 tons, valued at $8,000 and classed A 1. Registered at Port Burwell, On October 31, 1871, while on a voyage from Port Elgin to Oswego, she stranded on Chantry Island. Estimated damage to hull and cargo placed at $1,000.
