Detour, Sept. 12. -- In the storm of yesterday the schooner NARRAGANSETT, stranded near Cockburn Island, was washed off the rocks and when the tug RIVER QUEEN reached the scene the wreck was drifting in midlake, full of water. The wreck was taken in tow by the tug and placed in shelter in a bay at Drummond Island. The cargo of cedar is now being unloaded there. The tug came here for a steam pump. The damage done to the vessel is not known, but it is believed the bottom is practically gone.
