THE SPARTAN IN BAD SHAPE.
Kingston, Ont., July 2. -- The steamer SPARTAN is reported to be in a bad position at the head of the Lachine rapids. Today Calvin & Co., sent two steamers and a complete wrecking outfit to the stranded boat. Several days will be required to release her.
