BIG YACHT KEEWAYDIN POUNDING TO PIECES.
Marquette, Mich. Sept.16. -- The worst storm for several years is raging here. The big sloop yacht KEEWAYDIN, owned by Jay Pickands, is on shore near Au Train and will go to pieces. The life-saving crew were telegraphed for, but the request was cancelled when it was seen that the craft could not be saved. The storm is a wild on land as on the lakes. Some fifteen craft are lying in shelter in the bay. As yet no wrecks have been reported and all shipping is believed to be in safe anchorage.
