Glen Haven, Sept. 20. -- The steamer QUEEN OF THE LAKES was burned Sunday evening while lying in anchor at South Manitou for shelter. Nothing is left but the iron hull, which is still afloat

Burned to water's edge September 18,1898, one-half mile from South Manitou Island, Lake Michigan; dropped from documentation in 1900 and apparently scrapped.
