Accident - On Friday last a serious accident, attended with loss of life, occurred at Mr. L. Shickluna's saw mill in this place. A girl about 13 years of age, named Mary Craney, while gathering chips, got her dress entangled with an upright shaft in rapid motion, and before assistance could be given, her body was mangled in the most frightful manner. Death almost immediately relieved the unhappy sufferer from her misery.
