The Erie Observer publishes a statement of Capt. Dobbins, of the schr. N. Biddle, detailing the particulars of an attempt to burn his vessel at Dunnville, on the Grand River, U.C.,, on the night of June 3rd. Hoisting the American flag in a Canadian port on the Sabbath is the alleged offence. Capt. D. put off and the loafers gave his craft a musket shot through his sails.
