Sweetheart (Schooner), U22397, aground, 1 Oct 1883

The schooner SWEETHEART, in tow of the tug JOHNSON, ran hard aground on Peach Island, and the schooner SOUTHWEST, which was towing behind the SWEETHEART, collided with the latter, losing her headgear and smashing the yawl of the SWEETHEART. The cargo of the SWEETHEART was lightered in order to release her.
