Chicago, July 15. -- The Chicago schooner, THOMAS HOWLAND, is ashore at Hedgehog Bay, near Northport, Mich. Capt. Welmer telegraphs today that he has sent for assistance. The HOWLAND has ore from Escanaba to South Chicago.

The schooner THOMAS HOWLAMD has been taken from the beach in Hedgehog Bay and is now in Manitowoc.
