Two vessels have come to grief in lake Superior in the dense fog which has lain over the lake. The VAN HISE of the steel trust, stranded at Vermillion Point, running out two feet on a sandy bottom. Her cargo of ore must be lightered, but it is thought the boat is not injured yet. The GOULD, while trying to enter the piers at Grand Rapids, went aground and must lighter. She went out one foot forward. The propeller W.P. REND is aground in Hay Lake, and is being lightered.
