The big steel propeller JOHN ERICSSON of the Steel Trust Fleet, ran on the rocky shore at Madison during the heavy fog on Monday night. Tugs from Ashtabula and Fairport with the propeller SIEMENS have gone to the assistance of the boat. Manager Sinclair of the Great Lakes Towing Co., has gone from Cleveland to superintend the wrecking operations and may order the ERICSSON lightered. The boat was bound for Conneaut with a cargo of ore and it is said she ran out 23 inches when she struck.
