Notes extracted from the Sandusky Clarion, of 1822:-
From November 13 to December 18, 1823, the Clarion was not issued for want of paper, but which finally arrived on the schooner friendship, the last boat of the season and the last trip the FRIENDSHIP ever made. The schooner PRUDENCE, Capt. Harry Whitaker, arrived the same day principally with this same article, which quieted the fears of our good citizens.
