The brig AMAZON, of Cleveland, owned by M.B. Scott, also of Cleveland, went ashore on the Canadian side of the entrance to St. Clair River, Lake Huron, on May 7. The vessel is a total wreck, commisioned in 1838 and rebuilt in 1845.

Schooner AMAZON, of 171 tons. Built Port Huron, 1838 by Pangburn. Owned by W.B. Scott. Home port, Cleveland. Value $3,000 Class, I (fourth class) REMARKS:-- Rebuilt in 1845; repaired in 1861.
