Sault Ste. .Marie, Out., Sept. 12.— (CP)—Heavy fog on St. Mary's River caused two lake vessels to go aground to-day. The tug Dubbs was released from a shoal near Little Rapids Cut, , after having been aground for three hours. It is owned by the Great Lakes ; Dredge and Dock Company, freighter W. II. Barker was delayed for some time in the middle Keebish . Dyke when the grounded but was able ' r- release herself, undamaged. i St. Catharines, Sept. 23. — The steamer Mondoc, ol the Patterson Steamship Lines, loaded, with nearly 100,000 bushels of grain, has established a new speed record for passage through the Welland ship canal.
