FJELL LINE SHIP SOLD Olsen and Ugelstad of Oslo, Norway, owners of the Fjell Line fleet of steamers that trade from European ports to the Great Lakes each summer, has sold the Harpe-fjell, one of the latest ships to be built for them, according to reports. The Harpefjell was launched about a year ago and is of .the same type as the Taborfjell. At the time of her building, it was said that she would be used on the Great Lakes, but she never came here. She has boilers on deck and is 2,500 tons dead weight. She has been sold to Dutch interests. The sale of the ship created some interest in shipping circles here, but it was put down finally to a good price offered for her. Since the ship was built, it was pointed out by one authority, shipping prices have increased tremendously. On the charter basis, for instance, several years ago a ship could be chartered for $100 a day, now it is $200 or $300 a day, due to the demand for ships.
