"VESSEL LOST-- The Schr. Junieta Patton, long missed on Lake Michigan, went ashore Dec. 14 [1851], below the Sleeping Bear. No lives lost. Vessel probably a total loss. The Patton was built and owned at Milwaukee. She was principally loaded with lumber."
