Duluth", Minn., March 18.—Local navigation on Lake Superior has practically been open all win-ter, and there have been very few daya when a steamer could not have entered or left the harbor of Duluth. Torday was the first. departure of the season, and to the steamer T. H. Camp belongs the honor dr making the first trip out. This morning, loaded with Uventy-hve tons of supplies for various logging camps on the north shore, she steamed out the harbor amidst; the noisy and prolonged salutes of all the other steamers in the harbor and all of the mills and shops In the neighborhood. No trouble was found in making her way rapidly through the little slips of ice that remmiu in this end of the lake. The United States mall steamer Siskiwlt started this evening for Prlmce Arthur's landing, Canada. The crews of stearmers and vessels from lower lake ports which wintcered hevo are beginning to arrive, and the work of flitting out is well under way. FKOFLK'S INBEFEEDENT.
